Common questions
Where's my order?
Open the Orders tab in the app. Each order shows where it's at, from the kitchen to your door, and you'll get a notification when your driver is about two minutes away and again when they arrive.
Something's wrong with my order
Open the order from the Orders tab. Under "Something wrong?", tap Open a dispute and tell us what happened. We'll look into it and get back to you.
When is my card charged?
Only once the restaurant accepts your order. Until then, the amount is held on your card. If the restaurant declines the order, or it's cancelled because no driver was available, the hold is released or your payment is refunded automatically.
Refunds can take 5 to 10 business days to show on your statement.
Does my tip go to the driver?
Yes, all of it. Your tip is charged with your order and goes to the driver who delivers it. If the order is cancelled or switched to pickup, your tip is refunded.
How does HST relief work with my Status card?
In the app, add your Status card from your Profile: a photo of the card and a quick selfie, both taken with your camera. Rez Eats verifies it, and your profile shows when that's done.
After that, orders that qualify for relief under section 87 of the Indian Act are charged without HST, and your cart shows whether an order qualifies before you pay. Restaurants never see your card details.
How do I change my delivery address?
Go to your Profile in the app and edit your delivery address. Restaurants are listed by distance from it.
How do I become a driver?
Download the app, sign up as a driver and add your car details. Before your first delivery you'll sign a Rez Eats Driver Agreement, and we'll approve your account. Then you can go online whenever you want to drive.
What do drivers earn?
Drivers keep 100% of the delivery fee and 100% of their tips on every order they deliver. Rez Eats doesn't take a cut of either.
Each delivery shows what it pays, tip included, before you accept it, and the Earnings tab adds up your pay week by week.
How do I add my restaurant?
Email kjacobs@rezeats.ca. We set up each restaurant's account once we've signed an agreement together.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile, then Privacy and terms, and tap Delete account. Our account deletion page has the details, including what we keep and for how long.
How do you use my information?
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. Using Rez Eats means agreeing to our Terms of Service.
